Early data
How far do people scroll?
Scroll Feet is a free tracker that measures how far people scroll, in real feet. This is early data: fewer than 20 people share their rank so far, too few for a fair average. The maker's own measured day on October 25, 2026 was 4,450 feet, about 1.6 Burj Khalifas.
| People ranked that day | Fewer than 20 |
|---|---|
| Median distance | Not published yet — fewer than 20 people |
| Average distance | Not published yet — fewer than 20 people |
| Longest scroll that day | Not published yet — fewer than 20 people |
| People ranked this month | Fewer than 20 |
Early data
The maker’s own days
Until 20 people are ranked on the same day, the only numbers here are the maker’s own, measured by Scroll Feet on the maker’s own phone. They are one person’s days, not an average.
| Day | Distance | Burj Khalifas |
|---|---|---|
| October 24, 2026 | 4,192 ft | 1.5× |
| October 25, 2026 | 4,450 ft | 1.6× |
For scale
4,450 feet, next to things you know
| Landmark | Height | 4,450 ft is |
|---|---|---|
| Statue of Liberty (ground to the tip of the torch) | 305 ft | 14.6× its height |
| Eiffel Tower (to the tip) | 1,083 ft | 4.1× its height |
| Burj Khalifa (the world's tallest building) | 2,717 ft | 1.6× its height |
Method
How it is measured
- Scroll Feet adds up every pixel the screen moves, up or down, and converts pixels to feet with the screen’s pixel density. On Android it uses the Accessibility service, set so it cannot read what is on screen; in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox it is an extension.
- The board counts people who switched on the ranking. Each sends a random id, a date, a distance and a time — no name, no email, no IP address stored.
- A day is counted once it has ended everywhere on Earth, so no total is still growing. Days at 0 feet are left out, and so are the maker’s own devices.
- A number appears only when it covers 20 or more people. Below that, a median or a longest scroll could be one person’s day.
- The people here chose to install a scroll tracker, so they are not a random sample of everyone.
Questions
Scroll distance, answered
- How far does the average person scroll a day?
- There is no fair answer from Scroll Feet yet: fewer than 20 people share their rank, and an average of so few would really be a few people's days. This page publishes one once 20 or more people are ranked on the same day.
- How is scrolling distance measured?
- Scroll Feet adds up every pixel the screen moves, up or down, and converts pixels to feet with the screen's pixel density. It counts movement only, never what is on the screen.
- Is my data on this page?
- Only inside totals, never on its own. The numbers come from people who switched on the ranking, which sends a random id, a date, a distance and a time. A number is published only when it covers 20 or more people, and the maker's own devices are left out.
- How do I find out how far I scroll?
- Install Scroll Feet, free on Android, Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. It counts from the first scroll and shows where you rank today and this month.
