Walk Star stores everything on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no ads, no third-party analytics, and makes no network requests with your data. The one exception is entirely in your hands: if you choose to send a bug report, your email app opens with technical details about your phone that you can read and edit before sending. See "Bug reports" below.
Walk Star saves the habits you create, the ratings you log, your visual and alarm settings, and local usage counters (for example, how many times you've rated a habit). This information lives in the app's private storage on your phone and never leaves it. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Two backup paths exist, both controlled by you. Android Auto Backup may include Walk Star's data in your device backup to your own Google account, encrypted by Android and managed in your device settings — we never see it. You can also export a manual backup file; you choose where that file goes, and it is never sent to us.
Notifications and exact alarms make your habit triggers fire at the moment you scheduled, including a full-screen alarm when your screen is off. Boot access lets the app reschedule your alarms after a restart. Vibration and wake lock make the trigger buzz and light the screen. None of these permissions read or transmit any of your information.
Settings contains a "Report a bug" button. Nothing is sent unless you press it. Pressing it opens your own email app with a message already written out, addressed to the developer. You can read every line of it, edit it, or close it without sending — the app itself never transmits anything.
The prepared message includes technical details that help diagnose the problem: your phone's make and model, Android version and build identifier, screen size, the app's version, whether notification and alarm permissions are granted, how many habits and ratings you have, and your trigger settings. It deliberately does not include the names of your habits, your ratings, your notes, or anything you have typed into the app.
No data collection, no data sharing, no ads, no tracking SDKs, no accounts, no location access, no microphone or camera access, no contact with third-party servers.
Walk Star is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, including children.
If our data practices ever change (for example, adding optional purchases), this policy will be updated before the change ships. Questions: mail@setmind.net.
